I have been doing BPOs for a couple of years now. Doing BPOs is how I got into listing bank owned real estate. If you are unfamiliar with BPOs, they are broker price opinions, and banks use them to determine the value of a property. They can use this information to determine whether to approve a short sale and also how to price their foreclosure listings.
I have seen that many sites will charge you for BPO lists. It is outrageous to charge for something that is readily available on the internet. Unfortunately, no one has taken the time to put together a comprehensive list of BPO companies for free. That is, until now. I have placed about a hundred of the companies that banks use for BPOs. Now you can be part of this network.
Doing BPOs will generally generate decent revenue, as you can be compensated anywhere between $45 and $175 per BPO. I know that there are some agents that will do 10-20 a day. Anyway, this is a free list, and I’ve put together all the companies that I know of. If any of these no longer work, or if you know of more and would like me to post, just drop me a line.
